People with Asperger
Syndrome may not be able to express their emotions appropriately, or
understand what is socially acceptable
Inappropriate behaviour is
an indication of frustration, stress, and a reaction to their environment
Notes
Children with Asperger Syndrome are often regarded
as eccentric or peculiar by their classmates. They have inept social skills
which can often cause them to be the victim of bullying and an object of fun.
They lack understanding of human relationships and social rules and may appear
totally lacking in common sense. Many of these children are not understood by
their family, teachers and peers.
They have an inability to cope with change and the
unexpected which leaves them stressed and liable to react aggressively,
inappropriately, or withdraw into themselves.
